2. Why We Need Your Data & Lawful Basis

  • To Deliver Care (Contract & Special Category Health Data - Article 9(2)(h)): To assess suitability, perform microsuction/irrigation safely, and keep clinical records.

  • Legal Obligations: To comply with HMRC tax laws and healthcare standards.

  • Communications: To send booking confirmations, reminders, and post-treatment advice.

 

3. How We Share Your Data

We never sell your data. We only share information with:

  • GDPR-Compliant Practice Software: To manage bookings and store encrypted clinical notes.

  • Healthcare Professionals: Your GP or an ENT specialist, only with your consent or in an emergency.

  • Service Providers: Secure card processors and IT hosts.

  • Clinical Records: Retained for a minimum of 8 years after your last treatment (or until age 25 for patients under 18), as required by UK health record standards.

  • Financial Records: Retained for 6 years for tax purposes.

  • All digital records are encrypted and password-protected; physical forms are stored securely and destroyed when no longer required.
